Hunter has a Christmas sweater. He loves it and he wants to share it with you!

A couple of weeks ago we had the annual Carver/Vansweden Christmas party extraordinaire. The party was off the charts!! Everyone came decked out in their most festivous Christmas get ups. The only problem is that Hunter likes his new outfit a little too much- let the pictures explain. Let me know what you think.

Lucy is here to stay!!!!

Hot dog and Oh My Goodness!!! We have a new addition to the family:). My sister Liz and her husband Dave have been patiently waiting for this day for a long time (and so has her aunt Kristin been waiting- just not so patiently)..... This morning, December 3, at 1:00 am a pink wonder-eyed little girl was born weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces. I can't get over the fact that my best friend and sister that I have known since the day I was born is now a MOM.... it's just crazy and so AWEsome at the same time. Boy have things changed since the days of pulling her hair and teasing her about, well, everything (though, those days aren't even close to being over:).

Well you all know that I do construction on the side ranging from custom furniture peaces to demolition. I finally took some pictures of a mantel I did in the spring, here are those pictures.

Boo Boo makes a comment

Well today was just like every other day work, work, work, check Kristin for lice, work and more work. So over all a pretty normal day. I just hope that I won't have to start checking her for fleas because that would make for a long day.

A Day in the Life of a Teacher

Let me just say that teaching has been one heck of a roller coaster ride. This year has been the biggest down hill slope since I started in January of 06. For the first time in years I feel like I have a head on my shoulders and instead of feeling like I want to give a good beating to my class- I feel like I am leaving everyday laughing about something that happened. For instance, a week ago, one of my students decided to show me his "James Bond" moves in front of the whole class- twisting and sliding across the front row desks- and totally racked himself and dropped to the floor. I told him he'd better work on his impression. Another of my students loves to hide my stuff (usually my spray bottle for my overhead) and then he likes to ask me, "Mrs. Caaaaaver? Are you missing somefing?" The funniest part is how funny HE thinks it is. My first period always begs me to play music for them and then they spend then entire time making fun of my tunes- to which I get all mad and threaten them with their lives. Over UEA one of my students got her lip pierced but lost the ball that screws on to keep it in place. To hold the post in place, so the hole didn't close up, she had to push on it with her tongue. When she answered any questions she spoke with a lisp- "the woduct wove wive and thwee wis thifteen." I guess you just had to be there.

Today I had one of the grossest things EVER happen. I was sitting next to a student helping him with a problem. When I noticed something moving in the student in front of hims hair...... a little bug was weaving itself around the hair in her scalp...... LICE!! I about threw up and I still itch all over. I sanitized the entire room... and I STILL itch. Tonight I've got to have Hunter inspect my scalp.

Anyways, lets just say it never gets boring!

What to do? What to do?

Tonight I am feeling super blue... Hunter had to go to work and I am sitting here alone watching the election results roll in online. I guess I knew it was coming but I was not quite prepared for an Obama win. What does this mean for our country? For my family? Is there still hope for us?? My views are so far opposite from anything he believes- I am having a hard time swallowing this future. I hope he proves me wrong and does great things. Anyways.... does anyone have some cheese for my whine??

Women Putting the Men on Pause!!

The past couple of days I spent with my cousins (and my sister Lizzy) up at Park City shopping, not sleeping, and eating lots of flaming hot cheetos with lime (amongst other things)... and I am definitely feeling the after effects. We had a great time. Jennie got a sweet deal on a condo at this place by the Alpine Slide. The highlight of the trip for me was staying up till the wee hours of morning with Little P teaching me the dance to Micheal Jackson's Thriller... I am still hanging on to my hopes of becoming a perfessional dancer......yeah, laugh it up... Really, it was just a bad mix of too much caffinee and much too much junk food. Needless to say it was a great time. I am so lucky to have such great friends in my cousins. (Though, I must say, it is good to be back home with Hunter :).

Hello... This is Kristin... not Hunter.. I am attempting to BLOG :) Now that school is OUT for the summer I have a little more time to horse around, so here I am! I got out last Friday and haven't accomplished a thing since. All I can say is Awesome! I spent the last 4 days in Bear Lake doing absolutely nothing. This weekend Hunter and I are leaving for Scottsdale, AZ and I am planning on not accomplishing anything. Life is great. Whelp, I've got to skedaddle.

Day 2

Well this is the second time that I have "blogged" seems real easy

the only problem is that I am having a hard time trying to find any good

pictures to post. If I could get Kristin to use her talent this would be an

awesome site.

Just getting started

Kristin and I had this great idea to create a place to put photos and
other interesting stuff, to us at lest, on the Internet. So we are going to
try and get this thing up and running in about a year.
